Tapping on the white horizontal bar below them, you will be able to access four additional options in the form of icons: A paintbrush (currently active filters), half an arrow, which allows you to undo the previous step, a full arrow that lets you revert to the original version of the photo you are currently editing and a wrench that represents the advanced editing tools, which we’ll take a brief look at just now.
This set of advanced photo editing tools, while naturally not able to compete with any popular desktop application, is in itself pretty powerful and effective.
Among them you can find tools such as exposure, temperature, cropping, a really cool vignette tool and even a faux film grain that looks really nice with some photos.
And that’s about it for VSCO Cam. This app not only provides more tools than most comparable alternatives, but the quality of the results you can achieve with it easily surpass any other photo editing tool out there.

VSCO 4.0 was released today with a redesigned look just for the iPad. Previously, iPhotogs could use the popular photo editor/social network on their iPads as a blown-up iPhone app, but the fresh design and new features will make you want to ditch your iPhone altogether. Take a look:
In addition to the new iPad optimization, VSCO also added the ability to sync your shooting and editing across multiple devices. Once you sign into your VSCO account on both devices, any edits you make on one picture will be visible on other devices, and with the new Edit History feature, you’ll be able to modify or undo any changes you made to your pics.
VSCO also expanded its reach as a social network with a new Journal feature that lets you publish long-form, photo-centric content to the VSCO Grid, similar to Exposure. They’ve also added a Preset Gallery so you can view side-by-side comparisons on your iPad.
Unfortunately, the landscape mode features didn’t make it into the iPhone version of 4.0, but the camera controls now have an advanced mode that lets you adjust exposure and white balance, as well as toggle dark mode.
